I like dogs just a lil more than cats, but they are both pretty cool, sometimes cats just don't seem to care, and my dog will never leave my side! In fact my screen name is my old dogs name, Soda...... but the thing i hate is that you get sooo attached to them and then they don't live as long as we do, and then we miss them terribly...

I understand, but that is the life cycle. You should definitely feel good that you provided a home for your pet and made a difference in his/her life. There are so many that don

Spanky is so spoiled, partly because I work from home so he's used to having me around ALL the time. When we go away, we actually try to find someone to stay w/ him 24/7. He's the only cat I know w/ a real "baby sitter".

I love dogs, esp. puppies. I'm ok w/ cats, esp. kittens. No pets for now.

I've had more dogs than cats as pets while growing up.
My buddy had one of the best name for a dog. He named him J.D. (Just Dog). I wouldn't know what to call mine if I were to get a dog. But if I were to get a cat, I figured out a perrrrfect name for him/her.

The second part of my first name is Seop (Koreans have two part first names, and most boys and some girls either have the first part of the name the same or the second, and it rotates w/ generations; first part same, then the second part same, etc). So, I would name my cat: Cat-Seop or to make it simple, Catsup!

Great responses, I thought I would post my cats, past and present...

This is "Timmy" My favorite cat in the world. Sorry, it's the best picture I have digitally. Unfortunately, he had to be put down last year at the age of 18 (how many cat years is that?). Rest in peace Timmy (May 9, 1985 - June 24, 2003)

This is "Dunlop." Adopted from a veterinary clinic. The previous owner brought him in after he was ran-over with a car (hence his name "Dunlop." The previous owner didn't want to pay the bill so the clinic was going to put him down but my sister adopted him in time.

This is "Snoozer." Probably the most friendly cat in the world which may be the reason why he is missing. We haven't seen him in over a year, so it's safe to say he won't be coming back. Hopefully he is o.k.
