Calling *228 really does nothing. It just updates the roaming list on your phone. It does not improve reception whatsoever. It sounds like the device itself is failing if your reception is poor. Are other people using phones without any problems where your phone gives you trouble? If so its def. your phone. If not then your just probably just out of luck with reception. Call VZW and let them know. If lots of people complain about a particular spot they can tweak a tower and improve reception somewhat.

As for the Palm Pre, Sprint has exclusive rights to the phone for the first half of 2009. After that, there is no word on the Pre coming to VZW. There is a good possibility it will, however I would not count on it. You could always "unlock" the phone to work on Verizon's network however this really is not worth it as it costs quite a bit and voids the phones warranty. If your looking at a PDA, Verizon has a bunch of new phones that just launched within the last month or two. I would recommend the new HTC Touch Diamond or Pro if your into WinMobile. Check out phonearena.com for reviews and more in depth info. If your serious, let me know. I might be able to get you a deal on a new PDA...

It's internal.. but I suppose I could.

I've also 'updated my roaming capabilities' through VZW, taken the battery out to reset the phone, etc, etc.

I'm on verizon.
your cellularized telephone has had it switch to at&t and get a iphone

4x per month with worse service?

You're not making a convincing sale there.

It's hard to tell the difference on here between someone who's joking, and someone who's fooled themselves that being a "ballah" involves buying blinged-out overpriced shit that doesn't deliver. . .

Could be an interference problem. Add anything new that is wireless? New wireless router or anything?
