Cell Phone recommendations.
if you need a pda-style phone, and would like occasional email, check out the blackberry 7100g. i have a blackberry, 7250.. but im more of an intensive email user. uptimes of over a month, good reception.. ive dropped it under the s2k a couple of times, just a few scratches.. other than that, it gets it done.
if you need a regular phone, the razr isn't a bad choice.. i would go for the s710a with cingular, but the razr isn't bad

For personal use, I absolutely love the reliability and the keyboard of the Sidekick II. I've had good luck with it.
Push e-mail. AOL chat. All seamlessly integrated. It's like the Apple Mac of phone/PDAs.
If you're a business user (Outlook integration; MSN Messenger of various other chat apps), you have many more options, but for personal use, the SK2 can't be beat. Just gets the job done.

palm os just blows. get sony k750 or w800. i dun think razr is kewl at all. just thin but freaking wide as ****. it's like huge pancake. i got samsung e720 and not complaining other than just small memory w no extension slot. nokias are kewl but pricy. well i want nokia n90 and they are like $1000. and i hate other nokias. i had few before and nothing special i guess. sk2 was kewl but too big. and you can't type shit with one hand. oh don't forget that extra $20 for using sidekick.
Sorry man that pull e-mail is a joke. it errors out quite frequently... this is when you set any sort of recurring pull. sure if you do it manually it works all right, but who wants to do that these days with blackberrys and sidekicks doing it on the fly?
as a business person, i don't have time to make custom roms for stuff to work and test stuff out. it'd be cool, but i simply need my stuff to work reliably and the Treo650 doesn't do that out of the box. it forces you to search thru internet forums like an s2ki.com equivalent to find solutions and i think that's unacceptable for a so called PDA/phone targeted toward business users.
like for example i downloaded a very popular chat app so that i can do msn messenger and aol. the sucker resets my phone if a message happens to pop up in teh middle of doing some sort of function on the phone. why? it needs to work seamlessly.
it's a pretty phone. it just does not deliver. and it's not PALM's fault alone.. it's their third-partysupport. not enough testing. not enough support. poor quality. buggy apps. buggy phone.
some of the LCD screens are offset. tilted. and these vary from phone to phone. so sometimes u get a good phoen bu tmore often than not you get one that's crooked, button Q is mushy, even P... the four way keypad is excessively hard to press and doesn't respond.. i went thru 3 brand new Treos... i wanted it to work but all three had issues.
