Which Cell Phone Service is best?
well, from our/verizon's POV, i believe it is going to be in November. I haven't heard anything about it being delayed. So far, all the paperwork that i see has been for us to meet the government deadline for implementation..
After getting my phone last Friday, (LGVX6000) is that it is like using a home phone. So clear, constantly have people with Sprint from other states that I call dropping their calls. It's annoying, I think that they hate me or something...anyways enjoying Verizon, and gonna stick with it till it gets bad...(doubtful)

Sprint drops calls on purpose cause they do not have the network capacity to take care of everyone. When you call from a sprint phone the first thing they do is look up how much you're worth in terms of $ (like what kind of plan you have). If you have a good (expensive) plan then they make it a point to put you thru by dropping off someone else who's paying less than you.
This was posted by a (former?) Sprint employee in another thread on s2ki.com and I have no other way to verify if this is true. It seems to make sense cause if I'm connected, have a strong signal and not moving there should be no technical reason for the call to drop.
So what kind of a plan do you have? Try downgrading it and let's see if you still don't get any dropped calls. I have a friend who had no problems with Sprint till she donwgraded her plan - same phone and all, just a lower plan.

Almost all Sprint cusomers that I know of have this "dropped calls" problem. In theory it should not be happening but it does. Why? I do not know. Sprint's technology is sound (where it works) from what I understand so if it is not a technical issue then what exactly is going on.
As a consumer I would love to see more competition in the market and if Sprint can do the job right and still offer the same plans for the money other companies would have to lower their rates and that would be good for all of us.
