Which Cell Phone Service is best?
i use verizon and am about as happy with them as i could hope to be with a wireless provider.
my biggest complaint is that they dont use sim cards and as a result the selection of telephones is crap. i miss using my siemens handset.

i try.. i try.... i started out in a mall location and switched to business sales. i handle major accounts, basically companies with over 150 lines of service. It's not a bad job...
S2kmugen.. for your info, Verizon does not have TDMA. we hate TDMA.. would never purchase a wireless provider that has that. We do CDMA 800 and 1900 (PCS) and analog.
I know what you are talking about with the spotty coverage. I actually have one of those real maps that shows actual coverage.. and let me tell you.. it is far from what they print in the maps. Why? because verizon prints the maps showing partner towers too.. so, we can't have too many things on the map showing what is verizon, what is a partner, and what is roaming....
Verizon is backwards compatiable. how many carriers still support analog? how many people still have old digital phones? when verizon upgrade the network to the 1x, no one had to turn in their phones. unlike TDMA to GSM, you have to turn in the phones if you want to use GSM...
#1 in customer satisfication? which news report is this??? Sprint monthly??? i have never heard of that before. I honestly believe, sprint will NEVER be in the top 1 or 2 in customer service... you can't.. especially if you put people on hold for more than 20 minutes.... I want to read this report... because as i stated previously... JDpowers, wall street journal and consumer reports rated Verizon #1.. and what do they look for? besides coverage? customer service... so... i don't know what they been getting you to smoke...
hehe...
anyway... thanks for the props.. i wish all sales reps and store reps know just a little about their business... would make life so much easier...

Lord of the Rings: Two Towers. (was planning to buy it anyways) Well just waiting to activate the phone when it comes in the mail and I'll let you know how it turns out!

Christople.. sorry about the TDMA.. didn't mean to insult you like that
... I dont know how that came out.. but you're correct.. 1800 and analog.. but those networks can't support your 1x features such as photo's, your internet, and your Sierra wireless air card speed capabillities. (so no, it's not backward capable) only on your CDMA network... which non of the "normal" users can find out when signing up for service...I'll find that copy about the reviews and let you know..
Good stuff though.. finally a Verizon rep that knows technical things instead of just saying "free phone? free phone?"..
