Wow, I was actually kidding about the titanium casing...interesting.

I just bought a new laptop about a month ago. I considered the Mobile Technology, but decided against it.

From what I saw, the main feature was battery life. I can get about 1 1/2 hours out of my HP.

For what I use it for, Application Development, having a faster processor was a must. The sales guy pitched that the Centrino was the same speed, but yet it wasn't from what I saw online.

If you're using it for non-work related stuff, go for the Centrino. I mainly use mine plugged in sitting on my couch.

also, sager seems to be mainly desktop replacement stuff - i mean BIG ass laptops that i'm sure will be a PIA to carry around for people who travel 6 months out of a year.
Yeah, I noticed most of their laptops are 10-12lbs! That aspect of it doesn't bother me as much as the 2 giant fans on the bottom of the casing. I won't be traveling with it so much except from one room to another. But it will be on my lap a lot and I'm sure my legs will cover up the fans.

i think my criteria is 64~128mb of video ram. i don't have a home computer anymore so the laptop has to serve as a gaming machine as well. my old latitude c600 w/the meager 8mb of video ram doesn't run ANY of the new games, and it's only 2.5 years old

I'm not an avid pc gamer...Gran Turismo 3 on the PS2 meets my gaming needs just fine. But the Radeon All-In-Wonder cards have some nice features that I'd like to have. Do you know of any similar cards for laptops?
