CERN traps antimatter for over 16 minutes

Doubt this will replace oil ever. Hydrogen? Quite possibly, but I would think this type of energy would be way too unstable for commercial use. And I'm going to guess for us to even harness usable energy from anti-matter, it wont be in our lifetime.
The electron is what carries energy; anti-matter would sort of be empty of that (although not really). Not only would using it as renewable energy be plausibly scientifically impossible; it also would be nearly impossible to impliment. Unless you think we'll have LHC's allover the planet; not to mention fields of them to produce the amount of anti-matter that could even be harnessed in a quantity that would be 'useful' (despite the fact that it, wouldn't be useful). Anti-matter is important because it will allow us to understnad how matter is created and manipulated. Other than creating wormholes, or potentially black holes for interdimensional travel; the only use of anti-matter is researching what defines matter and how it's formed out of seemingly 'nothingness' really. The only fuel, that this could fuel, would be anti-gravity devies which would require preferrably three equidistant (triangle) proton accelerators in a plasma, which would create be used to create it's own gravitational mass; and electromagnetic field allowing it to seemingly repel gravitational forces on Earth. Also of course, this could be used to rip through space. It would be a long time until anti-gravity vehicles are a societal norm I imagine...
If it were used for energy it would be utilizing the extreme energy release upon annihilation, and would not occur in personal transportation but rather in facilities that create either electric power or an alternative fuel. We'd need a lot more of it...
