It says in the article that it was Breakdown, who was a Decepticon.

Transformers were so cool. Anyone remember MASK? Those toys pretty cool, too.

from the picture, the insignia is clearly from an autobot.

i remember MASK. i had the bad guy in the black tahoe. i think his mask power was a flamethrower. i'm suprised cartoon network hasn't picked it up.
