"Check Digit" of your VIN #
I know what a VIN # is. I was asking about this, the "check digit"
For example, the VIN number for an individual's car on the board is:JHMAP114G1T000288- This breaks down to the following:
J HM Japan/Honda (WMI)
AP1 S2000/F20C1
1 2-dr Convertible 6-speed manual
4 Base Model
G (check digit)
1 2000 (year) (1 = 2001)
T Tochigi (plant)
000288 sequential number
In this case the check digit is a letter, "G". I want to know if it can be both a letter or a number. Cause I have never seen people's S2000 VIN has a letter as the check digit, normally, it is a number. My 02' S2000 is coming next week, and it has a letter as the check digit, just like the above example.....
Thanks
