This situation is like drugs in America.

The more you try to enforce the drug laws, the crazier people will get. The tougher the laws, the higher the transaction costs for dealers, the higher the prices. This increases mob wars and murders.

So what are they going to do? Pull over every civic and integra that has an aftermarket exhaust? What about corvettes that come with that loud grumble at idle?!

It's stupid.....

Keep all the mods under the hood, where the actual hp gains are. Leave the outside stock. The guy next to you will get one hell of a suprise, and the police arent going to pull you over

Ive never been a fan of (for a lack of a better term) riced out cars. A lot of them are all show, cant walk the walk, but not everyone races them out on the street. These people should have the freedom to express themselves. I can bitch all i want but i still have no right to deny them of this...nor do the police or government if they truly believe in a "free society". If i want to tear out my leather interior and put in fuzzy pink fluff crap, strap a giant figure of barbie on the hood, etc. you'd probably call me a freak, but you couldnt tow my hidious car.

Mufflers and intakes alone do not turn a honda civic into a out-of-control F1 super street racer. Spoilers and lowered cars have never hurt anyone either.

What if i wanted to put everything imaginable on my car for the fun of it, or prototype a 4 tier spoiler? No, id probably get my ass towed. I guess im staying out of canada.

Ever since I have been street racing, the cops have always been biased towards non-domestic cars. I started in the domestic street racing scene and I have seen the biased there against imports. I did notice that the two cars impounded were imports. Thanks Seung for sharing the video. Illegal street racing in Southern California opened up the Street Legal Drags we have now. I am happy to see my years of street racing actually cause some good.
