Default Chuck Liddell

Don't know who watched the UFC last Saturday, but I was disappointed. After Chuck lost to Rampage, I thought he'd come back tougher than ever. Not to say his recent fight with Jardine was weak, but Chuck sure as hell wasn't charging and taking advantage like he used to.

I fear this may be the beginning of the end for Chuck. Maybe the drinking/partying finally got to him.

^^You're kidding me right?

I thought chuck was pretty ordinary on the weekend. I'd never get in the ring with him so I still respect his ability but I don't think he has enough depth to maintain dominance. The boys have learnt how to control him and it looks like its working

I think Chuck could have remained dominant. There is no fighter in the UFC that can take advantage of every little mistake like Chuck. Not to say he is or was the best, but if you made any mistake and left yourself open, the Chuck I know would use it and end you. It just seems like in his last two fights he didn't do that, hence the loss.

But I agree that he lacks depth.

(Possible SPOILERS)

Don't know what to say with UFC! The Pride fighters are doing horrible in the cage! I just think UFC fighters use the cage to their advantages like Couture does. I wanna see Fedor sign with UFC and see how he does. I still think Fedor is unbeatable but in the cage, it MIGHT be a different story.

As for Liddell, his career just went downhill recently. I'm hoping that the Liddell vs. Wanderlei fight will happen and I don't see why not now. That will be a huge impact to the loser of that fight but the winner still won't get the respect yet! I like Liddell as a fighter, strong counter-puncher, good sprawls, and well conditioned. I just think that other fighters are really upping their game!

Speaking of Pride fighters doing horrible, I've gotten passed Cro-Cop losing his last couple fights but to see "Shogun" lose was unimaginable! I think he underestimated Griffin and didn't realize that Griffin has a solid chin and the more damage that he takes, the better fighter he becomes. Shogun looked tired in the second round! How can that be when Shogun normally fought 10 minute rounds?!?!?! Kinda looked like he just gave up on the fight!

So far it's been lots of upsets. Next fights: Franklin vs. Silva (rematch) and Tim Sylvia vs. Brandon Vera. Will be interesting to see who rises from these fights!

I always thought Chuck was too one-dimensional (awfully strong in that one dimension though).

Cro Cop is a better bet for washed up and done. Never would have thought it though.

I haven't caught all of Griffin's fights, but from the ones I have seen, including Shogun, he gives it his all and doesn't quit until that bell rings. I'd rather watch Griffin take on anybody any day than a title match where they square dance around the ring for 25 minutes.

My favorite fighter just be he kicked the shit out of Tito Ortiz but I have to agree. Everytime I see him fight its a boxing match with a few kicks here and there. That fight against keith was a descent fight but Chuck didnt charge like he did with his other fight. The fight with Rampage...he got a good shot and caught Chuck off guard. He has a tendincy to lower his left hand when he steps back and when he throws the right giving Quintin all the room in teh world to land that shot to the jaw. What Liddel needs to do is train on the ground. Work on take downs and defending takedowns. Coming off of 2 losses in a row has got to be an ego crusher, especially 1 of them being a loss for the title. If Liddel could up his game and get it to the ground I think he could rise again. No one would expect it from him and whoever his next fighter is would totally be caught by surprise. Lidell def. has enough power that if it goes to the groud he can hold his own and def. cause alot of damage.

screw a UFC card that all the fights except one go to decisions...props to forrest for finishing. i'm holding my breath for UFC 77...rich franklin is my fight. here's hoping for another upset!!

at least diego tried during this fight. fitch is a pretty boring fighter...he was obviously stronger than diego, but he did very little damage. can't wait to see hughes vs. serra...
