Just coincidence. First one was man made, second was nature taking it's course.
The real question is: Are the big solar flares that are becoming more frequent having an effect on our earth?? Feb 15th a huge Solar flare took place on the sun... Feb 22nd The New Zealand quake took place. 24 hours after a huge one erupted off the sun again the earthquake took place in Japan.
This is just what I am seeing thats all!

 

Now that you mention it, was there ever research about CME's and relation to Earth reactions aside from the magnetic effects?

This would be one very nice read if one can be found.

So the quake in Haiti doesnt count as a big disaster? How about the last tsunami through the indian ocean region?

I'd be more concerned with the coincidence that HAARP was activated at 8:00am 3/10 Alaskan Time(which is 2am 3/11 Japan time), than an alignment of digits.
