Default Color Me Unemployed

Add me to the list of S2K owners driving without a job.

I was set to wrap up a network rollout project on 11/21. I was going start a PC deployment project for a company out of NJ on 12/3. Ten days off then back to work.

On 11/20 I get an e-mail from my recruiter at Task Management Inc. out of Ridgefield CT. His e-mail says the project has been postponed. He doesn't know why, or for how long. He basically has no information.

What gets me, is this pathetic little squid coward doesn't have professionalism, or stones, to call me personally and tell me. Instead he hides behind an e-mail and won't return my calls.

With the current job market, I'm sure to be unemployed through the first of the year. Let's hope things turn around then, or it is bye, bye yellow car.

Ohhh...Nick...say it won't be so. I'd hate to see you have to get rid of the yellow car before you learned how to drive .

Ok so I hope the little bit of ribbing gets you to focus on something else. Send your resume my way, an we'll see what contacts I can work right there in CO for you.

BTW, you're scaring me...I'm about to commit to a house here in IL (the committment will only be until May 2004....after which I will hopefully be on my way out to Denver).

Thanks for the support guys.

I was supposed to spend the afternoon drinking with an old friend, but he got stuck in New Mexico. Snowstorm ruined my binge. First no job, now no drinking. Can it get any worse?

Luder, I have been talking with a bunch of recruiters and unemployed friends. Word on the street is that there are a boat load of jobs with recs out, but companies are not going to fill them until after the new year. I hope this is true.

Sorry to hear about your job situation. I was out of work since June, but I got about a months worth of work for now. I hope things pick up next year, or else I'll be unemployed once again.

Good luck looking. It's pretty bad out there right now. Most places won't hire, since the holidays are coming up.
