Default Communication methods at work

what method do you prefer to use to communicate with your peers, superiors, clients, etc. at work? assuming they can be reached via all the communication means listed.

Email if client uses it efficiently and often.

Phone to just talk and settle things quickly.

FAX to quickly transport lots of data, particularly laboratory results.

Face-to-face for serious stuff, like breaking his nose.

For me, e-mail is the easiest. I find that people check their e-mail more often than they check their voicemails.

Phone call and face to face are the only two garunteed methods and generally quicker.. I will usually choose one of these first unless it's really out of my way to do so.
