i've noticed that when ever i start outlook express, messenger automatically starts up as well. is there a way to disable that?? i went to "option" of both outlook express and messenger and i couldn't figure out how to do it.

 

Check under the messenger preferences/options.

 

Yeah, disable it's default application status and "would you like messenger to open with your default mail ...blah blah blah"
