Default Concrete patio, is this a fair estimate?

Guys,

Can you please let me know if this sound like a fair estimate or not? I am looking to do a concrete patio in the back. The size is 15 by 30, so that comes out to 450sqft. The estimate I got is $3000, approximately $6.60 per sqft.

Does that sound about right? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
-Tuan

Are you talking about the price for the concrete pour only? If so that is high. I'd have figured half that. If you're talking about all the prep & finish work too (digging, leveling, edging, etcetera) then $3K is cheap.

You'd need to give way more details then that. Is there reo? Does it include any piers? Depth of the slab, excavation etc etc....

Does it require a pump truck to pour? If so add about $500 - $700 just for the truck to show. Also, how many yards of concrete is in the bid? Surface area doesn't tell you much as you need to spec how thick the slab is.

As others mentioned, prep work, clean-up, etc. need to be considered in the bid.
