That's probably what I'm going as. I finally get to have a mustache!

shocker, since it's the cheapest. Seriously, how fcked up do you have to be to spend $700 for a Halloween costume contest. It's not "Who has the most money to buy the most expensive costume" contest.

I doubt you'll win with any of those.

The costumes that always win are going to be the creative ones you can't buy in stores. I've won a bunch of costume contests and have never spent more than $75.
Spend $700, win $50 in free drinks @ local bar!!!
Go with something less expensive/more original. Since all of your options are off the rack they don't qualify. They're pretty kick-ass costumes, but only if you're going to dragon-con, etc...

You're considering buying a Shocker costume for a work party? I can't help but wonder where you work.
Like everyone has said, don't do something off the shelf if you want to win a contest.
An interesting costume I saw a few years back was one where the couple just wore some long coats and stuck some fake blackbirds/crows on the coat and in their hair, then painted their face to look like they had been scratched & bitten. I think one of them even had one of those fake eyeballs that looks like your eye is hanging out of its socket. They were characters from Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds".
