Default could it be taken more than 3 months to get the license plate?

i bought my new car 3 months ago and havent received the license plate yet. i m located in san diego far from Sacramento. are there any specific reasons that my license can get delayed like this long? what should i do? i dont wanna go to dmv and be in line for coupla hrsto be helped(finals coming up next week)
any help'd be appreciated

Sometimes it does take 3 months for them to show up. It's rare, but does happen. If it's been over 3 months, call the dealership you bought the car from and tell them to look into it for you. They can pull the DMV record to see if they've been mailed already, mailed a long time ago (and possibly lost in the mail) or will be mailed soon.

what's the big rush? eager to put on your front plate? or eager to get a ticket for no front plate....
