I thought that was very hokey. there would not have been a gun available to her, unless she jacked it when she was sitting out on the couch waiting.

At least we can tell from the preview they still arrange the meeting... otherwise would have been a real hokey change in the story

 

People on the other forums I read say she might have taken it from jack.


I still think it was hidden and she didn't have time to grab it. Now that she was given time alone she grabbed.

 

c'mon, how can a super agent like jack not notice a 15 year old girl taking a gun off his person??

 

i think we're over analyzing it. i think the whole purpose of the 15 year old russian sex slave's role in the story line is to kill the old man to create a twist in the story line. how and where she got the gun is supposed to be irrelevant, and is probably just a byproduct of bad writing. in fact, i felt the whole episode was poorly written and developed. i was especially disappointed with the fact that jack would submit to obey order by giving in to the old man's terms. if i was jack, i would had tortured the sh!t of him until he broke, and with jack's methods, it usually doesn't take long for his victims to break.

 

Here are my 2 theories about the gun...


1) It was in the bedroom the whole time. We never saw anyone "search" the room, for all we know it could have been hiding under the bed.

2) Jack gave her the gun. He saw what he was doing to her and didn't want her to have to leave with the scary old dude....


that's my 2 theories at least.

 

yeah, and afterwards, she pointed the gun at jack, and jack had to end up disarming her, quite forcefully, might i add. jack would had killed the old man himself after the old man leads him to the terrorists, and save the girl then, before he has a chance to fly off with her. jack would not be so stupid to prematurely kill off the only lead he has to the terrorists.

 

possibly. and the reason she never shot the old man before could be because the penthouse was guarded by security, and if she had shot the old man, the security would had immediate came in and shot her afterwards.

nonetheless, i still think it was just bad writing, and the writer was just so focused on the twist, that he didn't think out the details. it would had been best if the girl just ran towards one of the other agents who has his/her back turned to her, as she was being escorted out by jack, pulls the gun from his/her holster, and then shoots the old man.
