Just out of curiousity: do you believe that a husband and wife (or girlfriend/boyfriend) should retain their own privacy? Or do you believe in total honesty and sharing of everything in a relationship?

I think each mate deserves a certain amount of privacy, apart from their married life, as long as it doesn't involve infidelity or other issues of trust . I realized a long time ago that sometimes what my wife doesn't know can't hurt her, or me.

(NOTE: If, hopefully when, my wife and I meet you in person, it is not necessary to repeat any of the things I have said on this forum. This is one of those [few] parts of my private life, thank you.)

Gotta agree!! As for myself I don't tell my man when and where he can and cannot go. I don't want that to be done to me. Just very indpendant!!

Actually there are also some things that you just don't want to know about others. It just might change your whole attitude towards them.

Good poll! I think everyone needs some privacy. But, maybe when you find 'the one', the two of you become coconspirators in everything and nothing is secret anymore?? Until then, I need my privacy.

The only thing that I don't tell my wife is how much money I spend on extras for the Stook..

Why do I have a feeling that someone on this board was arguing about this shortly before this poll appeared.
