no speculations guys. i was talking with a girl friend (a female friend. yes, i still have those despite my married status, and they are just friends!) about our past relationships. my wife and i had already argued over this issue about 6 months after we got married.

I voted the first choice. Mainly because everyone has to have some kind of private space. Personally, I won't come near the wife's purse and she won't open my wallet. And even though I know her passwords to her e-mail accounts, (I set them up) I wouldn't dare look at the contents. That's hers.
She doesn't tell me what to do, nor do I, her. Course it took 18 years to get it right. Life is good now.

I'm divorced now because the person I was with had turned into someone I didn't want to share everything with. It had basically turned into answer #1 after 3 years of marriage. Now wether that was him changing or me just discovering what I needed is a whole 'nuther story.

The point here is that I seem to be in the minority by wanting to be 100% honest in my relationships (post-divorce). I guess I just feel that life is too short to not share what makes you tick with the one you're with. I want to share my crazy dreams & desires- not hide them! If I want JDM 6-spoke wheels I'm gonna buy them! So I tell all and if the person I'm with can't handle it, then it's not meant to be. I've gotten pretty jaded in my "old" age and have a pretty low tolerance for game-playing. If someone isn't 100% honest with me- they can hit the road.....

Stepping off the soapbox now....

I enjoy having some space. She thinks she give me too much. Probably since I have so much time to post. LOL
