Default Craigslist people

So I'm pretty sure alot of us have dealt with shady Craigslist people. Just wanted your opinion. I responded to a Craigslist ad regarding a free piano. I was first to respond to ad. It turns out it was at a cultural center and I spoke with a person representing it. Although it was free, I offered to make a donation but the lady said paying for the movers would be ok as the donation. long story short.. I get the piano and the representative is asking for more money than I originally offered to donate.. Now we're going back and forth about this.. Honestly, I'm kind of put off by this lady's attitude now and demanding more money.

Question: should I even donate anything at this point since the rep is demanding more? I think this is really inconsiderate. Oriiginal donation amount I offered was $100.

Pay the extra money. Take the piano to a field and burn it to the ground, send her the video.

*edit*

As for real advice, at even the slightest hint of shady/unreasonable/odd behavior when communicating with people from CL, I run the f away, sooo many scammers and thieves on there.

Don't give them anything, document everything, and inform the board of the directors of the center.

yeah.. the rep at one point said she would "pursue" this further if needed.. im just wondering if i should make a donation to this center after dealing with this..im thinking not and just let her try to call me and not pick up.. but there is clearly no case here for her/them as i have a voicemail saying she's releasing the piano to me..

Did the $100 cover the moving costs? If not, then yeah, you should probably pay the rest of the bill.

You answered an ad for a free piano. Not a piano moved to your house for free. How were you planning on getting the piano home? If you agreed to pay for the move and let them make the arrangements, then you forfeited a right to negotiate the cost.

I assume dealing with craigslist people is america version of dealing with gypsies.
