Case in point someone posted a link to a SoCal Forum thread about illegal immigrants and some huge methamphetamine bust. Not even halfway through page one the discussion turns to race; unfortunately some people have this inkling to attempt to make a point about race, probably because they harbor some nasty sentiments but would rather express it by posting figures to imply how "bad" black males are. But again, as is the case with this thread, no one wants to study the factors surrounding an issue they just want to point their fingers at someone.

God forbid we lock up drug traffickers...what a waste of good blow. Hell, let's start letting crack be legal...seems legit! 
Hell, we could legalize meth too...a lot more could get done around here!
So are you saying that poor people are more likely to traffic drugs? Is that a reasonable conclusion here?
Education + motivation = job = money = no need to sell drugs...damn that's a simple equation.
"Some people" though would rather sell drugs and do illegal activities than get a job and have to work for a living

I guess he's saying it's ok to refuse the free education provided by the school district in favor of a criminal lifestyle....as long as you can claim to have been discriminated against.
So it's ok to murder someones mom for crack money because someone called you the N-word.

I believe I already said substances like crack cocaine would not be legal. If anything, you should at least allow medical practitioners the necessary tools to combat addiction. Whether that's for research or controlled dosing of patients until they are off the drug, you can't honestly open your eyes today and tell yourself the war on drugs is working. You can't honestly tell yourself the tens and tens of billions of dollars spent every year on corrections, is working. Grow up.You say "education" like it's available at your local grocer; you say "job" like they're practically begging people to come to work. See how short-sighted you are? See how hard it is for you to grasp concepts in your mind and connect them to the world you live in? Grow up. Open your eyes.
There are always going to be lazy folks who turn to drugs and criminality, does that mean for the other millions of us who want to enjoy a marijuana joint because we'd rather not get drunk, we have to pay for it through arrests, incarceration, fees, and so on? Grow up. Open your eyes. Alcohol kills every weekend. Prescription drugs kill MORE than meth, crack, and heroin COMBINED. None of you three understand economics it seems; you take away the incentive to sell pot, meth, coke, crack, you completely eliminate the market and it's players. But I guess that's going straight over your heads. It's ok, every generation has the stalwarts who can't seem to wake up; every generation has to have the denizens of simple, lagging minds.
