Default D#$N Spyware (isearch)

Somehow today I picked up a spyware/malware program called isearch. A spam bar was added to my IE-6 browser on my work computer and has done other things.

My searches are redirected and some sites denied if I go to them from via a search. This sucks. This program was loaded on my machine without my permission or any warning at all. Some Google searches on

...and also try spybot search and destroy. Try that and ad-aware and you should be able to get rid of it.

Ad Aware did it. Thanks

When I tried to go to the lavasoft (ad aware wedsite), I was constantly being redirected to the isearch website even when directly typing in the url. I downloaded ad aware v6 from the download.com site.

What a pain in the a$$.

Thanks for the help. The isearch bar is gone now. I am going to look around for remnants later.

Peace

IE is very prone to spyware. Why don't you try another web browser called Mozilla Firefox. It automatically blocks pop-ups without being harsh and you are way less likely to have spyware installed. I've been using it for a few months already and I will never use IE ever again.
