There should be an enforceable law against pop-ups and anything loaded onto your computer without your permission.

if you have windows XP rollbacks are also a good tool to fight spyware when it completely messes things up.

www.download.com and search for spybot, best software i've used yet. ad-aware finds *some* of the problems, not all.

I went through this a couple months ago but was getting ready to re-install my OS so it didn't matter. Sites like that are one reason I modified the registry to lock my homepage.
