Hey guys glad I found this thread, Im literally about to start on the DaVinci Code right now but I was wondering whether or not it was the best one to start with, could anyone that has read a few of them advise me please?

Just a note, in the opening pages of my copy there is one entitled "Fact:" and the last statement made is that

"All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents and secret rituals are accurate."

Interesting that they would put this here, makes me inclined to believe it but I haven't read any details yet so I'll just keep an open mind towards it all I think.

I really need to read these books. A friend of mine read them and used them to rip on my religion. I've heard they are really good though.

I'd suggest reading Angels and Demons first, as that's the first novel the main character appears, and you also get a good sense of Dan Brown's style.

^^ Robert Langdon is first introduced in Angels and Demons, so that might be a better place to start.
