That was crazy! Click on the picture near the bottom of the page and you can really see how extreme a drop it was. It looks fairly flat in the video but in real life, it's very steep.

I live close to a big dam ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mansfield_Dam ). When I was a kid we used to slide out of the flood gates. It was a blast. Essentially even when the the flood gates are closed they leak a little water and so the concrete becomes real slippery. It was a blast. Best water ride I've been on.
