Moving to O/T

 

hey, a custom cast magnesium block with forged titanium pistons, rods, the works...nah, still only 25 G's or so. Maybe a quad turbo? or how about a Motec System Exhaust ? Didn't RJ De Vera serve as technical advisor to the film? wow, Ro_ja just went way down in my book.... I like the movie(it's one of the few DVD's that i own) but i do find it amusing that several of the actors couldn't drive stick before filming, and I think both girls(Mia, Lenny) had never driven at all. oh well, they're still cute way too much vinyl though, and it seems like they didn't pay attention to the negative backlash about that from the last movie because the cars in the new movie got puked on by the vinyl monster too. We all know that the S2000 driver with the biggest balls of all is the one driving that Pink one (yes, the driver in the movie is female...for the sake of amusement, lets assume the driver is a dude.)

obviously the producers are not in tune with the automotive scene...and it pained me to see that poor mustang get crushed by the truck in the preview. people will laugh because it's a mustang and import guys hate mustangs apparently , but that 'stang would smoke damn near every S on this board with very basic mods(blower, radials, gears) and a cobra would decimate every S out there.

Not to bag on you Honda guys, but dont you think that movies like this actually makes the Japanese car scene seem like its for kids? Honestly, most of the cars on FNF looked like crap, I own a Jetta and I thought that white Jetta looked hideous (although it came very close to beating that S2k ) What every happened to the JDM&DTM style tuning that I was raised on? I was talking to a friend of mine that works at a performance shops and he said word for word "the sale of neon lights, mufflers, and double stacked spoilers with skyrocket after the 2nd FNF comes out"

The worst part of it all, that i actually watched on my tivo as i was reading this post, was that fresh gear did a piece on the movie and they said that they made 4, count them 4, identical pink S2000s.

someone has to be punished for that.

actually the Eclipse in that movie WISHED it had anywhere near that power.. even though they made it out so high and mighty it indeed was still running the 420A (cough cough dodge neon cough cough) stock motor.. naturally it was intaked/camed/exhaust... but that's it... Add it's 75 shot of nitrous you are running and you are talking 14 sec. et's... WOOOOOOOO ... The greatest line in the movie though is when the dude says he needs 3 T78 Turbos to put on his CIVIC.... Ummm... If you know anything about turbo's that thing would NEVER spool... but .. those guys in the movie know so much about cars it must be true
