Damn Forest Fires
Well, for those of you who don't know, British Columbia is on fire right now. Currently there are 850 forest fires burning throughout the province (yes that is the official count), and there happens to be one that's threatening the city I live in.
On Saturday at 2:30am, lightning struck a very dry part of a local Regional Park, thus starting a house-sized fire. Just 3 days later, it has grown to be 2,200 hectares, and still growing rapidly. All that can be seen in the sky is a thick Dark Gray/Red smoke cloud, which has blocked out the sun. And all that can be seen on my White S, is a slow build-up of ash. Damn Forest Fires!

For those of you South of the border, that's about 5,500 acres, or 8.5 square miles.
