i'm sitting here watching the smoke on cnn again, just like 2 months ago. deja vu all over again. my gut feeling is also an accident, but hey- what a friggin coincidence. if it is terrorism, then we have to step up our efforts to rid the world of these heartless bastards who do not deserve to be living. sorry, just venting a little. prayers to all involved.

 

getting rid of we are working on, but its not so easy to do. sure we can accomplish anything when we set our minds to it, but that doesn't mean we need to wipe out an entire country to make a parking lot. after watching a documentary on atomic bombs yesterday, my views have not changed but reaffirmed.

lets avoid the "T" word for now, doesn't look like this had to do w/anything of the sort - at least from the minimal information we've been provided.

Another sickening tragedy for New York and the USA, especially falling on Veterans day holiday. Once again my thoughts and prayers are with the people of New York

Commercial airlines in America are a disgrace. It might be the best example of a "race to bottom" in history.

Hmmm....it'd be hard for me to believe that this wasn't another terrorist attack. Being a pilot, i've never once heard of an airplane simply exploding midair without the pilot even being able to radio in an emergency.(unless there was a bomb on it) This means the airplane simply exploded in one shot, and i'm not sure how likely something like that is to happen without their being some kind of catalyst. I'm sure our country is embarassed about upping security to what they thought was the highest degree and having this tragedy still occur right under everyone's noses. If flying isn't safe now when everyone's on high alert, it never will be! I don't think i'll be boarding commercial any time within the next decade!

 

I hope this was just an accident and not another terrorist attack. From the sounds of it so far, it might be an accident. I heard that a pilot on the ground saw smoke coming from one of the engines of the plane as it took off.

 

2 Passengers on board were in the WTC on the 11th, they were survivors.

1 Passenger had just finished his tour of duty on the USS Enterprise and was flying back home to his family

Even if it isn't a terrorist attack, it is a horrendous tragedy
