Dating Life for Asian guys in America...
Oh boy. I am a 5'4 , 130lbs asian male. I was raised in the States, and i associate with all kind of people ( asian, black, white, hispanic ...etc). And i have always dated white girls, once with a vietnamese girl. For me, it doesn't matter what nationality you are, as long as you on the same page, i'm down. Let me elaborate, i am not a bad looking guy , not a dork or a nerd either. I am young, open minded, know my priorities, also love to enjoy life in everyway. So lets say, if girl i think is cute enough and seem like she likes to have fun then i'll try to get to know her. What if shes not interested ?! Fine i'll move on no hard feelings and i won't let that rejection disencourage me, same goes for you single guys out there. Don't be effected by those stereotypes, think of yourself as an individual, not THE ASIAN !. Everyone of every race is unique and special in there own ways. Some of us may have failed to realize that, i used to be one.
Btw, i've read couple of the comments on the first/second page. It was something about "getting a better job because being a waiter isn't really a job ?" C'mon now ! A job is a job, you are being a waiter doesn't make you any less than a lawyer, doctor or someone above you ! This is the year of 2007, since we're fortunate enough to be in United States ( land of opportunity) so its hard to tell what and who you can become now days. Plus, can you imagine restaurants without waiters/waitresses ? You better go get your own food and drink everytime you eat out( i'm not a waiter).
(This is just my opinion, so if you disagreed i am sorry but thats just me)

Interesting thread.
I am afraid this may sound borderline narcissistic but here it goes. I agree, it all depends on location. I've had no issues of meeting women until I moved to Columbus, OH. it doesn't bother me. I absolutely have no interest in dime of dozen white loafs around here anyways. My last girlfriend from Boston was Bulgarian. 5'7" 120lbs gorgeous body and a heart of gold. One before that was from Argentina. One before that was from Dominican Republic. I miss diversity the most. Every girl I see around here, they all dress the same and they all look the same. They all have bfs who will remind you of extras on OC. They all have the same hair dos and wears same type of clothes. Blah....no thanks.
State of Equilibrium!
It absolutely makes no difference whether White girls or even Asian girls are interested in me or not. I know I am an attractive, well educated, well traveled, well spoken and very fit guy. So what if I have a hard time meeting girls here it doesn't define who I am as a person or it sure isn't a character flaw. If anything it is a compliment. I'd rather be different and unique than be another average Joe, no pun intended. And all my previous girlfriends were what you would call sexy ethnic girls. Except the ones I dated here in Columbus, OH. They all have said one thing in common. They never knew an Asian guy would be so much fun and so good in bed. So I've said "Once go Asian never go caucasian"
No I have no complex about my own race. In fact, I am proud of the fact that I am 100% Korean. Nothing mixed, thoroughbred Korean. Be proud! my fellow Asian brothers. Don't let this race thing bother you. Don't let what you can't control interfere with what you can do.
Better luck tomorrow!

Seeing a 'generic white girl' and assuming because you're asian it will make a difference is only handicapping yourself. When I was dating I only made 2 assumptions about any female I found attractive, -----she thought I was attractive, and within 30 seconds I could make her laugh. It doesn't always work out that way, but it is a great set up for success.
It's amazing how complicated people make dating.
