Explain how its racist? They all are semi-exaggerated stereotypes. Just because it talks about Hispanics and "African-American" (phuck being politically correct. They're not African at all. They may have ancestors from Africa but they are 100% American like you and me. Do we say that I'm "German-American" after my family has been living in America for 5 generations?)
That's a way of differentiating between American races, e.g. Asian Americans. If we just say "American", how would we know if it's referring to blacks, whites, Asians, Hispanics, etc.?

And no, we shouldn't call you German-American, but Nazi-American.

Why does it matter if we need to differentiate between the different ethnic backgrounds? We are all Americans and further use of the classification perpetuates the divides that exist among us.

Why do Asians, Hispanics, and blacks get to be classified by themselves when the entire Caucasian U.S. population is just considered Caucasian. We in fact came from GB, France, Germany, Hungary, etc etc etc. Why aren't we being called French-American?

B/c all of you do the same BS, which is to find a way to segregate and make inferior everything that isn't Caucasian ...Look at your quote for example. You capitalize Asians and Hispanics but leave "BLACKS" lower cased...Its just natural for you all to deem something inferior and you don't even notice it lol

It is probably the WAY we came from Africa that makes the people that classify races label us that way, I don't know for sure.

I will say this:

When imigrants came over they wanted to blend in to society and be Americanized so much so that they even changed their last names to mask their origion.

That is probably why you are not classified as "German American" but caucasian with includes those that came from Europe years ago.

If blacks were 100% American why were we denied our basic rights over the years as an american then?
