You guys have to read this story. This is why I hate dropping cars off at dealer service shops.

I keep a package of small Post It notes in my car. When I take it in for service and am forced to leave it, I write the mileage on TWO, one that stays on the dashboard and the other in my purse. That way, THEY know that I know what the mileage was when I left it. It sucks that you have to do anything like this to keep them honest, but whatever it takes...

What happened with the stook that had the wheels ripped off while in the shop? I'm not sure who it was, but I'm curious to know how that went and if he didn't have to pay for the wheels.

Whoa...that's a pretty scary story. This past summer I worked at a BMW dealership as a porter, and when we had to deliver cars, the guy would drive them like a maniac. I decided then that I would never ever have someone deliver my car, I'd just pick it up.

I use to do paperwork at a garage and the mechanics would always beat the **** out of people's cars and take them to run errands. One time they backed out of the lot and got into an accident to the passenger side. They repaired it and never told the customer.
