Huh?

So now Microsoft needs something Sony has, and Sony wants something Microsoft has. Obviously Blu-ray is worth a lot more than some rights to using a motor. It'd be cool if the PS3 could get the rumble back...Juuuuuust a dream.

Long story short: originally, some company won the patent war for the rumble motors used in game controllers. They were going to charge up the arse for anyone to use it. Sony said no, Microsoft bought into their stocks.

Huh~ I'm glad rumble's back. As for the patent, Immersion owns it. As I recall, Microsoft bought into their stocks at the time when Immersion won the law suit. According to CNET, MS paid $26 million. I wonder how much Sony got it for.
