Off-topic TalkWhere overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.
The higher horses, stiffer chassis, and rear-wheel drive are the upsides. However, the miniscule trunk space (this has to be my daily driver), unlined soft top, and apparantly poor stereo system (2 speakers?!!) make me concerned about dropping the extra dough. After all, it's not like I'd be switching from a sedan to an s2000.... I already get a similar (although presumably scaled down) driving experience with my current car.
And I'll get to increase my redline by 1100 rpm, but I lose my tach and get that big LED thingy. I also think I'll miss being able to roll down my rear window... but I won't miss having to get my ass out of the car every time I want to take the top off.
CRX, B16A, S1 tranny. VTEC at 5200, redlines at 8200. And with a bit of tweaking, 10k redline is do-able (as the guys at 161822 have done). my rex is pretty fast

i got a '90DX and did a swap with JDM B16. the car is pretty sweet (well, it does smell weird and it's got all kinds of little things i need to fix) and i'm building it up towards turbo. so i'll be able to spank most s2000s in a straight line (i have no illusions about canyon driving)

Build it all motor and you'll still be able to spank S2000s
I sold it with 128K flawless miles on it. I wish I could have kept it alongside the S. It was a great car...really fun to mod, and pretty darn quick. And if you think the S2000 is rare...Honda only sold 12000 VTEC Sols in the US between '94 and '97. Only 500 of those were this color !!
My EH couple days before I sold it. Kept up pretty well with the locals S's when I went on a short drive through the twisties. Great car, but I don't think I'll go back. Done with the days of dealing with swaps, B-series motors, and all that stuff..
