I agree that the fireman didnt go about things in the right way at all.. But from the video, He didnt have anything to do with the guy falling off of the roof. The guy was trying to get away from him, not hang on to him.

I think the fireman did a fine job, he grabbed the guy, the guy clearly squirmed to get away from the guy. If he wanted to he could've held on to the the fireman, he wanted to get free. He did just that. The fireman wasn't wrong.

I'm going to Sears Point soon to race. Good that's one less driver on the road. Your traffic up there sucks anyway.

Where was this beloved family when this dumbass was having problems.

4 attempts to kill yourself, he just needed a little help. If your touchey feely city pays his family one penny you are fvcked (and not in a good way).

Doesnt anybody see that the guy is clearly not trying to hold onto the fireman. It definitely looks like hes trying to get away from the fireman. It looks like hes trying to pull himself away with his legs...

4 previous attempted suicides??? comon.. obviously hes trying to do something.

Its just a family trying to make some money from all this.

With that kind of suicidal history, how can ANYONE let alone the FAMILY say that he wasnt trying to kill himself??

well, the "experts" in the video apparent disagreed with you. What a bunch of idiots!

I agree, insanity. Thats reason #456464 that this country is going to hell in a handbasket.

Someone trying to help others, gets scolded for it. No wonder doctors are scared, firemen, cops, etc. 1,2,3 Lawsuit. IMHO, if people want to kill themselves, we should let them. In fact, I supported Kevorkian. I guess Im one cold SOB. IF your life sucks so much you want to end it, just do it, and keep me, and the rest of the world out of it. Call me an a$$hole, but I feel no remorse or pity for anyone who wants to kill themselves. A tough life is NOT an excuse.

i agree. the fireman shouldn't had tried to be a hero. if the kid did not ask for his assistance then the fireman needs to back off and do nothing more than talk to him. even if this fireman successfully "rescued" the kid, and the kid is genuinely suicidal, then the kid might just attempt to take his life another day in another place. why risk your life, your job, and your family's welfare on trying to be a hero to rescue someone that may not want to be rescued?? on top of that this fireman violated the chain of command and kept everyone else in the dark of his intentions.

as for the comment about this kid costing the city tons on money for sending emergency aid, it's really not the kid's fault cuz he did not ask the city to divert all the emergency services to the scene. the emergency services came because it was the city's protocol, and not because the kid wanted them to be there.

Actually they were informed he was going to try to grab him. That's why he was there. I don't even think he should've talked to the kid. He should've been on the pavement yelling don't you dare jump you fvcker no one wants to clean up your brain matter!

. It's unbelievable how stupid things are becoming. Lawyers are looking for ANYTHING to sue. Screwing this country every which way.

The guy wanted to die, he did, he got his wish. Case closed.

Of course his idiot family will now come out of the woodworks trying to get every penny they can for a "botched" rescue.

This country is becoming more and more socialist. We're taking the decision making ability of adults away from them and trying to tell them the consensus knows best.
