Tell my wife that!! We both work in Healthcare, and though I don't have direct contact with patients, she does, and still won't get it....

I follow a strict "do as I say, not as I do" theory. I encourage (harass) my older family members to get a shot, but I never get one. Thus far, this has worked wonderfully as I've never had the flu.

No,
I hate needles, I'm 25, in good health, rarely get sick, eat right and exercise (for the most part) and don't feel it is that much of a threat. I was actually supposed to because I'm in the U.S. Navy and it is mandatory but I managed to skip out. Just don't tell my Division Officer!

Don't trust 'em. Anyone remember the 'swine flu' fiasco? Do we REALLY know what we're getting in a vaccine?

just thought I'd share some paranoia!

and like others said it's not for all flu's

I've never had a flu shot in my life. My immune system is pretty strong. I thought I was getting this one, but I seemed to have healed over night. My mom has it. My dad has it. My sister has it. My brother has it. Two of my friends have it. I think it's pretty inevitable that i catch it, but I fought it off....

Besides, needles give me the creeps. :shudder:

Anyways, it's all a conspiracy for the government to control our minds. Ever wonder why the shots are so popular this time of year? Well, yes, people are getting sick, but it's just all a big plot to make us spend more money on the holidays just because a big fat red guy with a beard says we should.

That's it! You are right - it's all about spending $$$$ Because if you are sick you don't feel like shopping
