The difference between Euro and American Restrooms
While in a layover recently in Frankfurt, I noticed that the toilet stalls are like small closets. Fully enclosed, no tall gaps near the bottom. They sometimes are carpeted, and have a small A/C / vent. It's actually nice, there is a lot more privacy. This compared to public restrooms in the states where it is basically a metal divider with a saloon style swinging door, with a small latch. I've also noticed these 'closet toilets' in airports: Geneva, Spain, Rome, and the UK. But not yet in American airports.
This is very random, but I'm sure there is some type of euro-edicate involved with this.

I think that type of public restroom would last about 2 seconds over here in the states. If you've been in a public bathroom within the last 30-40 years, you'll see it both looks and smells like crap. I'd be kind enough to take care of them, but there are 300 million other people in this country that wouldn't give a shit. It's a shame because I'd love to have an A/C vent blowing on my boys while dropping anchor!

In Kenya and Tanzania they have two doors, one marked "Western Toilet" and the other marked "Eastern Toilet." The Western Toilet is a toilet as we know it. The Eastern Toilet is a raised platform with a hole in the middle.
