Digg users are stupid
I am continually amazed by the idiots who are on digg. That site is home to probably the largest collection of douschebags anywhere on the internet. Let me give you some examples:
Story: "Dow Drops 300 Points in Just Under 10 Minutes of Trading"
Comment: "This is Bush's legacy" rated at +160
Comment: "Yes, blame this on Bush and the republicans. Show everyone what an idiot you are. This is caused by mortages and people like yourselves buying what you can't afford." rated at +1
Another examples:
Picture: http://graphjam.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/ms.gif
Comment: "Anyone who has had to type anything in Word knows that graph is 100% true. Automatic formatting gets it wrong virtually every time." rated at +93
These morons should just turn off this feature if they can't use it, instead of blaming it on Microsoft.
Story: "Court Squashes Bush Plan to Allow Snowmobiles in Yellowstone"
Comment: "**** Bush" rated at +13
These are just some examples of stupid comments that are getting rated positively on that site. Let's not even talk about any story involving politics. Their viewpoint there is so biased it's not even funny. I chose to unsubscribe from their politics section altogether.

You're surprised? Over 70% of Americans hate Bush - not to get political, but he's one of the most unpopular presidents ever.
Unfortunately when youre the face of this country and everything goes to **** then youre gonna get blamed. Thats just how it works. Its not a coinsidence that 70+% of people dont like the president.
With that being said, yes it is a little stupid people are making comments about Bush on unrelated topics, but its the internets...what do you expect?

While the person making the comment and all those supporting it likely didn't think for 2 seconds about the real issue, the comment can be construed as being factually correct.
It was under Bush's administration that Depression era policies disallowing the same institutions from maintaining brokerage, banking and insurance activities were overturned. It can be well argued that this deregulation created, at the very least the circumstances for, the mortgage crisis we now face. Phil Gramm, the co-creator of this bill, is the same guy who is being championed as the Secretary of the Treasury in McCain's cabinet should he win.
Like it or not, policies enacted during your administration and by your party reflect on you as a president. It's probably equally unfair to give Clinton all the credit for the economic explosion we had during his tenure, but that's partly what the American public remembers him for.
So, even though the comment was probably from some 14 year old kid that doesn't understand a bit of politics, he's likely correct.
