SONY DSC-P5. Kinda pricey (about $550 to $600) but the quality and features are excellent.

If you are only looking to take pics to post, you do not need a high res. camera (ie 3.3 M + pixels)...Try the Canon Powershot A20 2.1M pixels should be fine. Don't know the US $.

make sure you get atleast a 3.3 megapixel because it will be better for prints.
although the prices are going down constantly for cameras. i would wait a little longer for the price to drop further, i am sure if you wait another 6 months, you can get the 3.3 for around 300-400 dollars compared to 500-600 dollars right now.

I paid $1,000 for a 3.34 megapixel Nikon Coolpix 990 one year ago. Now you can get a Coolpix 995, with a pop up flash and 4-1 zoom (vs. 3-1) for $600. Damnit.

This might help.

Warning LARGE pics

Click here to see a pic at 2.1 M pixels. Taken with a Sony CyberShot DSCS75.

Click here to see a pic at 3.3 M pixels. Taken with a Canon PowerShot A20.

3.3 M will definitely give you more detail and if you want to print large pictures, you will not need to enlarge the pic as much as 2.1 M pixel pic.

But, if you are looking to post or print regular sized pic, 2.1 should be fine.

Look at the pics and decide for yourself.

Hope this helps.
