Discontinues Preludes?
Hello all. It's been a long time since I made a post here. Hi Dbw!
I'm thinking about buying a Honda and I'm considering a Honda Prelude. Yeah, I know that I'm not that cool to get a s2k like all of you, but I try.
I heard they might be discontinued next year? I see them on car sites now. I"m looking to get a new car in March. Anyone know if Preludes are a possibility then? Thanks!

Yes the Prelude was discontinued for 2002. If you go to Honda's website you will notice under Prelude it says 2001 while all the other new cars are 2002. You should be able to get a great deal on one as dealers are having a hard time getting rid of the remaining 2001's. I am sure there will still be plenty of 2001's left on dealer lots in March if you still want one.
I traded my '91 Prelude SI in for my S2K. That Prelude was the best ride I've ever had and I've had a few - (too soon to tell if the S2K will qualify for that title). It had 200,000 miles on it and still was running and looking great.
If you're looking for a Prelude, get one. Prices should be good and Honda will have parts and service for you for as long as you need them.

For the price range of a prelude I'd go with a GTI, new Civic Hatchbacks, last gen Type R, and some other cars I can't think of...
Of course, I'd also go with the Prelude
I've owned both a '92 Prelude Si and a '99 Prelude. They are great cars and you could get a good deal on an '01 that the dealer wants to get rid of. Personally I'd consider the RSX type S, I've ridden in one and they are nice and offer more for the $. I do miss my lude though...
