Default Dishwasha!

It's Tuesday night and I offered to wash the dishes like a good boyfriend, so my girl recommends using the dishwasher. I hate the dishwasher. What is it about every dishwasher that I have encountered. You have to wash the dishes before they can be washed in the dishwasher. What's the POINT! I'd rather take the extra 5 seconds per dosh and just get it done right away. Maybe it's just me.

I think the exact same way, my dishwasher broke like last year, was gonna replace it, but then said "Wait a minute? I really don't need one!", if you have to clean the dishes anyway, a dishwasher is stupid, now I just do all my dishes, etc. with "manual" labour, it takes no time at all anyway...

Umm...good dishwasher combined with proper loading techniques do not warrant pre-washing.

Dude, here's something to think about to... why do they need to wash your pair before you cut? After the cut, you still need to go wash your hair... DOH!

Good loading techniques? I try to face the open part of pots and pans towards the stream of water if that's what you mean, but even with a supposedly expensive dish washer, I still find myself having to scrub some ecess caked on food. IMO dishwasher are just

Go with the recommendations from CU and you won't be disappointed. No washing necessary. Besides most new dishwashers use less hot water that most people do washing by hand.

Ok folks dishwasher 101.

If you don't want to prewash buy the correct dishwasher.

"A dishwasher can have anywhere from two to three levels of spraying; the more levels the better because dishes can be soaked from several directions at once. Some models have a heavy-duty food grinder that grinds food to small particles that are easily washed down the drain. "
