She did eat a half pound of chocolate chips once that was on the pantry floor. Talk about a mess. It was coming out both ends for a couple of hours.

I'm with Spidale, my dogs could all eat 'till they puked and tart over again. May be a size thing since mine have all been 50 - 120 lb dogs.

My fawn pug, Winnie (alongside our new Daisy in the pic),

ate a bowl full of individually wrapped Butterfingers last Halloween and had no problems. On the other hand, my parents pug, Lucy, got into one Hershey's Kiss and we thought she was gonna die. Shaking and vomiting violently, she's fine now, though!

I find it so weird that something so benign seeming as chocolate can kill dogs. My friend used to get so pissed at his dog, he'd shout "Daphne, damnit, I'm going to feed you chocolate! Feed you chocolate until you die!!"

I think we, along with primates (i think) are the only animals that have a part of our brain that calculates how much we've eaten and triggers the full response. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i think theres something in your brain that triggers your full after around twenty minutes from the time you started eating, thats why we fill ourselves up on salad first.

it doesnt have anything to do with time. while you eat, your mind constantly calculates how much food is going in. that's why if you eat really fast, youll still feel hungry but you wont be able to force anything down, often resulting in a tummy ache.

ever heard of gastric bypass surgery? the one where they shrink your stomach ... you're just full when your stomach gets bloated I dont understand why it happend when you're sick though if you're trying to find an answer as far as the brain goes psychologist would be more help than a m.d.
