Everyone believes something different. It doen't matter if it's tooth fairies or aethism. It's still right for that person.

Personally I believe in sprits. I have my reasons and elect not to share experiences.

Why would a person with paranormal powers want anyone to know about it? You would never have a moments peace. I believe the ones who advertise it are in in fact entertainers. I've experienced both. Once working as a commercial photographer I documented a hypnotist entertainer. He was just that. However I've also seen a person with extrodinary abilities, I couldn't explain any other way.

I will share a few interesting tidbits from Austin schools.
Several years ago Austin school district decided to tear down a school and rebuild it. When the demolition crews came, they complained of hearing children playing in the building. None were there. Their heavy equipment would not start. They would tow the vehicles off site and suddenly the engines would start again. Eventually the building was demolished and a new one erected.

Another school has regular sitings of an aparition in the hallways. Some Campus Police officers refuse to patrol the hallway.

Another school has regular visits from an aparition that is suppposed to be Charles Whitman's mother, who some claim was a librarian at the school.
