Isn't there any form of corporal punishment that can be implemented in the virtual classroom? That sender would certainly top the list as a perfect candidate.

I teach math in college. If I got an e-mail like that I would have responded, "No."

When I ask students if they have any questions on their homework and I get a response like, "Do #14", I reply, "No."

Once they start to be civil and ask politely, I'm more than happy to cooperate; not before.

(The Spring semester started today - in fact, I'm in my office at school right now typing this - and I just got out of a class in which I asked a couple of the gentlemen to remove their baseball caps whilst they're in my classroom. I firmly believe that you will get the respect that you earn, but frequently only if you demand it.)
