Nahh... the guy is tring to con her. The email clearly said :" I am on an assignment where I need a user name and password". If that were true he should ask the teacher who gave him the assignment or he would have written : "You did not give us the user name and password to use for the assignment."

Unless ofcourse the assignment was to find someone else's user name and password. Which, by the way, was an assignment given to us during our network security training. It was to try and establish how easily people can be talked into telling you anything.
