Do you believe I got this email from one of my STUDENTS?
What I can't believe is that a teacher would ridicule one of her students in public like this. If the guy wasn't a student, he would have no excuse, but making fun of someone when they are trying to learn is pretty shameful, IMHO. Yeah, teachers, pay them more
Writing is an art that requires practice. They always say, play in practice like you play in the real game. I'm certainly guilty of hastiness and the subsequent innacuracies and mistakes, but I don't think that omitting a capital letter is nearly as heinous as deliberate misspelling of words "in the name of efficiency." I write in AIM and Email the way that I would write a respectful letter or essay, because I think the way that I communicate is indicative of the level of respect I have for others. I would never greet someone for the first time with a "yo, whassup."(even if that may be the informal case with my close friends) I respect the intelligence of my friends, and I think it's worth taking the time (even if it is just in my own mind) to write out fully the thoughts I express to them.

You wouldn't say "He were trying to learn".
