Is this the big deal that Dr. Steven Greer had his name all over? If it is I would discount anything he claims. I know him personally and have had the bad luck of spending several days in his company. I'd much rather step in dog crap than do it again.
I've seen UFOs when I lived in Oregon. but they weren't that exciting, and I have no idea whether they were extraterrestrial or some secret military craft-- they were exactly what the U in UFO means.
I've seen UFOs, but it wasn't scary. just strange lights in the sky behaving in a way that no aircraft that I know of behave.
I lived in Oregon a couple years back, and it was heavily overcast and the clouds were moving overhead moderately quickly, insofar as I could see them slowly tumbling, swirling and such. but it wasn't raining, and it was pretty clear on the ground. if I had to guess I'd say the cloud cover was maybe 1000 ft up, but it's v. hard to gauge distances. just know that it was a real ceiling of clouds and they were being blown in, like another rain storm was coming. somewhat gusty winds on the ground too.
so anyway, I look out my apartment window at the sky and see 3 lights-- like v. bright stars-- just hovering in a large triangle formation. they are not moving at all. the clouds behind them are blowing and tumbing, but these 3 objects aren't moving at all. I was like, "that's weird? helicopters?" but I kept looking, and even went and looked from another window and they were still there. if they were helicopters, they sure has some super-amazing GPS stabilizing autopilot working because they appeared to be just below the cloud cover and those clouds were friggin blowing through. I probably watched them for almost 15 mins, then they just disappeared. could've just risen up into the clouds.
so anyway, a few weeks later, my gf and I are driving back to our apartment one afternoon, and today it's mostly cloudy, and not breezy or anything and we both see a bright light in the sky. I said, "there's one of those things I saw that one day." so we pull over and just watch it for probably 10 mins and it doesn't move either. just a friggin bright light in the sky. eventually it fades then disappears entirely.
we don't know what it was, and don't think it's aliens or anything. in fact, my guess is that it's some sort of military craft doing amazing military crap. there's just not enough info to conclude anything, they were the epitome of UFO; unidentified.
if anybody here lives near the Portland, OR region I'd love to hear if you've also seen those things hovering around.
....or at least that's my mother's explination for everything!
Actually though, I do have this memory... which is still as clear as if it occured this morning... I was tucked into bed by my mother during the summer of '85. About 10 minutes after she turned off the lights, I had a weird sensation flow throughout my body. I looked up, towards my headboard... and there was this green stem; about 4" in height, with what looked like a yellow occular region or bulb at the top. I freaked... yelled for my parents, and as they barged through the door... I turned back around and it was gone!? of course, my parents thought I was calling wolf... and annoyingly tucked me back in. As soon as they were gone though... it was back, and remained there until I finally passed. I probably sat and stared at the thing until 5 in the morning.
That next morning, I was able to draw pictures in great detail of the object... but everyone laughed it off as me "being a kid".
For the next couple years... I'd see very strange things on camping trips, get-togethers... etc. One example nearly the same as Tritium pies... myself and 7 friends were at a 8th grade party out in the country. Ironically that night we were sharing ghost tales... so half of this might have been our own stirred imagination... but at the same time... all of us looked to the crystal clear night and noticed 3 exceptionally bright lights hovering...in a triangular pattern straight above. We figured they weren't stars due to simueltaneous color changes. As we watched for about 15-20 minutes... BOOM... they scattered!! in 3 different directions!! needless to say... none of us slept that night either!...
As an overly logical-type person, I firmly believe that there is life somewhere else out there. In fact, I find the assertion that we are alone in the universe absurd almost to the point of being offensive. I mean, we can see millions and millions of galaxies, and every galaxy has billions of stars. How can our one, puny little planet be only one to have any life? As they said in the movie Contact: "If we are all alone, it seems like an awful waste of space, doesn't it?"
That said, I also have to say that I find it unlikely we've actually been visited by any of this life that's out there. Billions of stars scattered across billions of light years of space and billions of years of time...how would anything else ever find us, let alone be at a similar-enough state of awareness to even be interested in us? I certainly don't doubt that people have seen strange things in the sky, but I don't think extraterrestrial beings are responsible for them.

besides, would we really be worth the expense of visiting?
