Don't use that brand, but thanks for warning everyone.

STARR! gets Solid Gold Hund-n-Flocken or Wolf King. The way it's priced you'd think it was gold.

I've also heard that the chlorinated water in SoCal is causing skin rashes on some of the smaller dogs...

My Raj died in April of hemangiosarcoma (liver cancer). No pet owner should have to experience this, it is just too fuking devastating. He was healthy as an ox and just a BEAUTIFUL 7.5 yr old male Chocolate Lab. Then out of nowhere his health declined in a matter of 6 weeks.

FYI, I fed my Raj Science Diet throughout his life. When I first read this article, it got me wondering regardless of the name brand identified...

If I get another Lab (that's the only dog I will EVER get), I will most definitely feed him food I cooked. Fuk all this pet food crap and fuk you Science Diet.

this is pretty egregious (and possibly ignorant) statement. you fed him relatively crappy food... you didn't do research on dry feed dog foods. your dog died. you don't KNOW if it's toxins in SD's food... yada yada

i feed kirkland/costco branded dog foods to my 2 big big breeds (St. Bernard and a Golden Retriever). I used to feed 'em Canidae/Chicken Soup/California Natural, etc. But we're trying to bulk up the Bernie pup and the feeding schedule on Candidae was making me broke. Kirkland dog food happens to be produced by Diamond, but because it doesn't contain corn, there was no toxin found.

a good doggie food website: http://www.mordanna.com/dogfood/

Are you seriously going to argue semantics with me on this?

Relatively crappy food SD is recommended by several vets, including my former vet. Where do you get relatively crappy from that? It's no Alpo or Kibble's n Bits.

I went through alot of pain with my beloved Raj's illness during his last few weeks with me. It is now that I am understanding the effects of manf processes on certain dry dog foods that can introduce lethal levels of toxins in them.

Would've been nice to receive some condolensces before insulting me however.

Please do me a favor and put me on your ignore list as well.

Anyone that thinks science diet killed their dog is going to be annoyed with any response I can give to it and I don't want to go to jail.

Done.

You'd expect a bit of condolensces for losing a dog but instead get debated on the actual cause of death for your dog.

Screw you.

You're the one posting that SD killed your dog. Maybe he was standing too close to the microwave.
