There aren't many winter sports I find enjoyable to watch, so the Winter Olympics aren't all that interesting to me. I enjoyed the downhill coverage last night because they would overlay one skier on another so you could compare lines and see the margin at the finish. I would have liked to watch the bridge players (I know, weird, huh?), but that won't be broadcast.

In the Summer Olympics they chop up the coverage of volleyball, which is one of the few sports I really enjoy watching, and they rarely show anything for badminton, judo, or, a few years ago, tae kwon do, which are the only other sports I really enjoy watching. (Unless you've played badminton against an olympic-level athlete, don't laugh. It's one of the most physically exhausting sports I've ever played, and the players are athletes in the truest sense.)

Oh, well, only three more weeks till Melbourne!

I like the winter Olympics, mainly because it is about speed and beauty. Nothing like skiing down hill in excess of 80 miles an hour. Most of these guys averaged over 80 mph during the entire run. I love the acrobatics of the snow boarders and the figure skaters.

the IOC should sue NBC for it's crappy coverage. The Opening Ceremonies were incredible this year, most of the years they are pretty boring. It was eye and ear candy for the most part. the only problems was Costas' dribble. Will someone please put an icicle through his head?! What a lame announcer.

You get to see 2 minutes of action for every 10 minutes of announcer time. I want to see more of the events!

 

I LOVE the olympics! Can't get enough of them. Even thought of bringing my TV into my office... too bad I can't get Cdn coverage.

 

I love the Olympics. I hate all that background human intrest crap. Athletes are competing 12 hours a day in every winter sport and all we get is a maybe a good hour of coverage in between the human interest stories. Run that crap in place of Soap Operas and let me watch the games!

 

I love watching the winter Olympics but usally just end up watching the highlights. You can watch some of the same great events outside of the Olympics on ESPN2 but you have to keep an eye out for them.

I love the winter Olympics, I think they are a lot better than the summer ones. The only event that I do not like watching is figure skating, and even then it's sometimes fun to watch just to see some of them fall. I know, negative thinking is bad, but who doesn't watch Nascar pray that they don't see a wreck? I never want anyone to get hurt, but to see them slam the wall is pretty neat The only thing better than the winter Olympics is the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, I Love it!!! Tonight's the last night though, then I have to wait another year
